Mad Marty making the second day of the Seniors Event is obviously the big news of the day and week so far. I've been laid up with a cold so I didn't find that Marty had actually made the second day until they finally put up the chip counts on Pokernews this morning. Though the American bloggers may not have known him yesterday, I dare say they'll never forget him after today. He's in flying form. Go Marty!

Fox running wild in Northampton

We drove up to the Rio to register with Padraig and Vero and turned it into a group outing. Stopped at the Pho place for large bowls of the stuff. It's only two blocks from the Rio, and by far your best option for any WSOP dinner break, just down Valley View. Marty declared the Pho "absolutely beautiful".

The other night got very messy. Dinner at New York New York followed by the Irish Pub and then Body English at the Hard Rock. It was also white wine followed by tequila shots topped off with Baileys and Cognac and finished with vodka and cranberry. Driving home ceased being an option after the white wine and the car is still up at New York New York. There was a big line for the club at the Hard Rock and our group of seven was going nowhere towards getting in. I went to one of the doorman and told him, "Steve-O said he'd put us on the list!"
I don't know no fucking Steve-O," he said. "Shake my hand and give me the money!"
