Premier League Poker IV begins on Channel 4 on Monday - 30/09/2010
The fourth edition of the PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker begins its 20 week run on Channel 4 on Monday 4 October at 12.45am.
A glittering line-up of the world’s best players came together at The M Resort, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas at the start of the year to battle it out for the $1.5million prize pool.

But before the final 12 players began the charge for the $400,000 winner’s cheque, there were still two places in the line-up up for grabs. One of them would go to the winner of the PartyPoker sponsored pros qualifying event, while the other would go to an online qualifier – which is where the programme begins with a one hour show as one of 16 online qualifiers will get the chance of a lifetime to play against 11 giants of the poker world.
After focussing on the race to reach the event proper from both the online qualifiers and the PartyPoker pros, the action in full gets underway with the likes of Luke “FullFlush” Schwartz, Ohil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Roland de Wolfe, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Tony G all gunning to take the trophy off defending champion JC Tran.
"The world's best players and biggest entertainers playing deep stack poker and battling it out for $1.25 million," said Matchroom Sport's managing director Eddie Hearn. "The play was on another level to anything I ever seen before and the intensity of the competition and growing rivalries make the PLP compelling viewing. The World is in for a real treat in 2010."
