Premier League Poker IV Final kicks off on Monday 7th Feb - 04/02/2011

After six gruelling heats in the PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker IV, Phil Laak is in a commanding position for the final after taking down three of the four heats and picking up a total of 48 points.

He is closely followed by Frenchman David Benyamine who claimed first, second, third and sixth place finishes for a total of 38 points. The third and fourth automatic places for the final saw a close battle between PartyPoker Qualifier Giovanni Safina, Luke Schwartz, Daniel Negreanu and Roland De Wolfe. Safina and Schwartz claimed those seats, by both picking up 29 points and Negreanu and De Wolfe had to settle for a place in the heads-up matches against defending champion JC Tran and Ian Frazer respectively. Negreanu and De Wolfe won their heads up matches to take down the last two seats at the final table with Negreanu having 26 points and De Wolfe with 22 points.

At the final table each point equates to $10,000 chips, so the chips counts at the final table are as follows

1. Phil Laak – 480,000
2. David Benyamine - 380,000
3. Giovanni Safina - 290,000
4. Luke Schwartz – 290,000
5. Daniel Negreanu – 260,000
6. Roland De Wolfe – 220,000

The final will be show over two weeks on Channel 4
