888.COM UK POKER OPEN III - THE WOLFE THROUGH TO SEMI-FINALS
In form star Roland De Wolfe produced a convincing performance to cruise into the semi-finals of the 888.com UK Poker Open III.In a lively heat featuring the "Romford Pele" Ray Parlour, Mark "Monkey" Harris, Bhupinder Kohli and on-line qualifiers Ari Pellinen and Jason Bresland, it was Roland who got off to the most aggressive start taking down three of the first six pots. After 28 hands it was on-line qualifier Pellinen who was first to go, when his A7 failed to outdraw Harris' A8. Football star Ray Parlour was next to go when he raised with his pocket 6's, he was re-raised with Monkey Harris' AK, Parlour called. The flop came down 8 7 7 and Parlour checked. Harris moved all in and Parlour instantly called. The turn came an A and Ray was drawing dead to a 5 or a 6. The river came a 2 and Ray was on his way after an impressive performance.Bhupinder Kohli was third out. All in with J 9 he was called by De Wolfe with K 9. Kohli was on his feet when a J came on the flop but a K on the river gave Roland the pot and a solid chip lead. After playing so well Monkey Harris fell out of the tree. All in with K 9, Roland called with Q 5 and when the flop came 2 Q 5 Monkey was on his way. The turn came 3 as did the river and Roland was heads up against Jason Bresland with a huge chip lead. The heads up battle lasted just 12 hands. Roland raised from the small bling with J 10 and Bresland moved all in with A 4. Again behind, Roland found a J on the flop and with no help for Bresland on the turn and river, Roland de Wolfe joins an impressive list of names already through to the semi-finals of the 888.com UK Poker Open III.
