Aga is a pro amongst pros at the PartyPoker.com World Open

Agnieszka Rylik
The meteoric poker career of Agnieszka Rylik continues with another prestigious invitation for her to test her poker skills against the very best in the world, this time for a first prize of $250,000. Aga has been invited to London for the exclusive PartyPoker.com World Open IV between 25th April – 2nd May 2008 and will take on a top class field led by ‘Ambassador of Poker’ Mike Sexton, the man who taught her the game.

A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “Aga continues to make progress in every tournament she plays. In the Sports Stars Challenge she was very close to winning her heat and only lost out to the eventual winner, while at the European Challenge in Austria she emerged as the best player in Eastern Europe in the East versus West Team Cup. They say poker is a game that takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master but Aga has come such a long way since her first experience on the green felt at the famous Late Night Poker in October last year.”

“There is a possibility that Aga could go head-to-head in this tournament with the world famous American legend who taught her poker, Mike Sexton. She certainly will not be daunted, however, as she played with him at the PartyPoker Irish Poker Championship back in January where she dug deep to almost make the second day.”

“In some of the previous tournaments Aga has been labelled as a celebrity and put in heats with other celebrities. At the World Open she is in the tournament as a professional player in her own right. We have no doubt that she will handle herself very well. There are very big plans for her future.”

Rivals for Aga and poker names who can pack a punch include recent PartyPoker.com European Open IV winner Nick Slade, Danish sensation Theo Jorgensen, Ian Frazer, former British tv actor and poker pro Ross Boatman, Marty Smyth, Jon Kalmar, Thomas Bihl, Roy Brindley, Surinder Sunar, John Tabatabai, Pippa Flanders, Liam Flood and Neil Channing, a man who cannot stop winning and has scooped over $1 million in recent months. Her old friend Dave “The Devilfish” Ulliott, Europe’s top poker player will also be taking part and he will want revenge on Aga for knocking him out of Late Night Poker in October last year.
