Morrison enters the Den
Morrison will join 2007 Champ Jamie Gold, Brian "Sbrugby" Townsend, Neil "Bad Beat" Channing, Andrew Feldman, Anthony Hardy, Robert Williamson III and Hoyt Corkins in show seven.
The cult series has seen big losses for Jamie Gold, Devilfish and Roland De Wolfe, while Tony G, Robert Williamson, Neil Channing, Brian Townsend and Kirk Morrison have been the big winners.
Originally from Kansas, Morrison won his first bracelet in 1998 and became heavily involved in sports betting and the big swings he endured because of his bad habit made him escape to New Zealand (from 1999-2006). He originally meant to stay for just four months, but it turned into seven years. He avoided poker for the first few years he was there but eventually started playing in some Australian tournaments. It was at one of these tournaments where he met his old friend Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu convinced him to come back to the America and play poker. Morrison is back with a bang and showed all the skills that made him one of the game's most exciting young talents.
"I have always played poker by the seat of my pants and that's exactly what I did at the Poker Den," commented Morrison. "This is old school poker at its best and I hope the viewers enjoy the ride as much as I did!"
You can watch the action from the Poker Den on Channel 5 on Wednesday nights at 12.20am.
