WATCH OUT THE MOB ARE IN TOWN
The PartyPoker.net World Open III kicks off on Friday 27th April and it promises to be an explosive event. The event, to be held at the 3 mills studios in East London will feature 72 of the World's top players all battling it out for the $200,000 first prize.
For the first time in the event 's history all four members of the Hendon Mob will take part. Joe, Ram, Ross and Barny will be up against the Devilfish, Liz Lieu, Roland De Wolfe, recent winner of the Irish Open Marty Smyth, London EPT Champion Vicky Coren, Premier League Champion Juha Helppi, PartyPoker European Open III Champion Liam Flood, and other top professionals including John MaGill, Thomas Wahlroos, Ian Frazer, Dave Gregory, Anthony "the Bookie" Hardy, Andy Greekfish and Thomas Bihl.
Defending champion Pippa Flanders will not be able to defend her title as she and her husband Tim Flanders will be away on holiday. Instead their daughter Charlotte will take a seat and try to defend her mother's title. Charlotte should not be underestimated however, having recently won a televised tournament.
The tournament kicks off with a celebrity qualifying heat, with the "Whirlwind" Jimmy White being joined by 5 other top celebrities with the winner going straight into the main draw. After 12 grueling first round matches, two semi finals and the final on Friday 4th May a new World Champion will be crowned . He or she will walk away with the PartyPoker.net World Open III bracelet and a cheque for $200,000.
The show will be shown on Channel Five as a two-hour highlight show later this year and will be syndicated throughout the world.
